FTP Account Added!
ftp.1hs.org
username: xyz@1hs.org
password: XYZ (Case sensitive)
Port:21
(Please note, these are not the real usernames/passwords…)
IF you use FTP… please only place files into your own folder, no big files, and don’t change anyone else’s stuff. I recommend using Filezilla… but there are a million and one FTP clients out there.
If 1hs.org… is http://205.234.132.6/~hsorg/ …
Then what’s the difference between…
http://205.234.132.6/~hsorg/twe and http://austin.servershost.net/~hsorg/twe

PHP is a powerful server-side scripting language for creating dynamic and interactive websites.
PHP is the widely-used, free, and efficient alternative to competitors such as Microsoft’s ASP. PHP is perfectly suited for Web development and can be embedded directly into the HTML code.
The PHP syntax is very similar to Perl and C. PHP is often used together with Apache (web server) on various operating systems. It also supports ISAPI and can be used with Microsoft’s IIS on Windows.

Google Highly Open Participation Contest

Following on from the success of the Google Summer of Code program, Google is currently running a contest for pre-university students (high school and secondary school students) aimed at encouraging young people to participate in open source projects. Joomla! is proud to have been invited to join with nine other open source organisations for this pilot program which will run until early February 2008. If you are a high-school student it’s not too late to join in the fun.
The team at Joomla! has defined an extensive set of tasks suitable for the Contest and here are the finished products of the contest documentation tasks so far. In other word, if you’re looking to find use what you learn in this project into practice, this might be a good start.
